| Message: The past few days Emmett has been using items like laundry baskets, walls, chairs, etc., to help himself stand up. This morning Emmett was sitting in the middle of the hallway, and without using any thing to help himself, he stood straight up! He stood there for about 5-10 seconds, and then decided to sit back down and crawl to what it was that he wanted. It won't be much longer, and he'll figure out he's faster at walking then crawling! |

| Message: Tonight for dinner Amy and I decided to make Chicken Tortillas. One of the ingredients calls for sliced red peppers. Emmett saw the red peppers sitting in a bowl on the counter, and couldn't resist grabbing for one. I couldn't resist getting a picture! |

| Topic: Emmett's Second Hair Cut |

| Message: This afternoon Emmett got to go get his second hair cut. His hair was down past his eyes, and made him hot and sweaty all the time. While I (dad) wasn't there, Amy tells me it was quite a struggle this time to get him to hold still so he could get a hair cut. But I'm sure he appreciates it being much shorter now! |

| Topic: Reaching For The Blinds |

| Message: Emmett often likes to reach for the cord to the blinds in the kitchen. More specifically, he likes to chew on the plastic grips on the ends of the cords. Last night he crawled into the kitchen only to discover the cords to the blinds were up just a little out of his reach! |
